I have had over 10 years in nursing care.
Plus 2 years in learning disabilities care.
In resident homes
Had all maunal handling traing with certificates
Assisting people with all person care,using equipment getting people out off bed tp chairs and bath.

With people with LD encouraging people to be independent, washing and dressing thereselves, with prompting and assisting when the person need help.
Making sure the person has plenty off choices off doing activities indoors and outside.
Offering a choice off menus for the week.
Prompting to make there own sandwiches and supervising them at all times in the kitchen.
Prompting to clean there own mess up in the kitchen and loading up the dishwasher.
Plus prompting to take there clothes to the laundry room. Asking the person to put clothes in the washing machine. While I do the rest with the washing powder.
