After many years working as a journalist, presenter, broadcaster and newsreader I now work as a freelance writer and teach English for SEND students and as a foreign language. I also teach confidence and speech making.

Writer and privately teaching English to foreign students.

Previous:

SAL: For Surrey County Council, tutor across Surrey Adult Learning teaching classes and workshops for Acting & Drama, Gaining Confidence Through Presentation Skills, Best Man Speeches, Public Speaking Skills, together with Performing Arts English and Mathematics for SEND learners. During the Covid-19 pandemic these courses were taught remotely via Zoom.

RHACC: Tutor at the Richmond and Hillcroft Adult Education College teaching SEND learners Performing Arts with English and Performing Arts with Mathematics, helping prepare learners to join the community and make a valuable contribution. During the Covid-19 pandemic these classes were taught remotely via Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

Writer/Journalist: To include writing news, travel and sports articles for print and online.

Kingston College, Surrey: Tutor, taking classes in speaking and listening to Supported Learning Students with the aim of gaining interviews and employment in either the main or volunteer sectors.

Sky TV: News Reader, Presenter, Creative and Continuity Manager.

Sky Radio: Writer and presenter on Sky News Radio and Sky News Active.

LBC Radio: Presenter of Weekend Live, interviewing over 2,000 guests from the worlds of politics and business to entertainment and sport, operating the editor’s desk, planning, booking interviews, writing the LBC and Heart websites and organising features.

Thames Television: Writer, Presenter and Promotions voice over artist.

Channel Four Television: Presentation Writer and Announcer and Promotions voice over artist.

Jack FM and FM107.9 Oxford: News and Sports Reader.

BBC Radio 4: Writer and Presenter of a series of science programmes for children See For Yourself…to include responsibility for writing teacher’s notes for all episodes.

The Toastmaster’s Guild, Oxford: Writing wedding speeches for best men, fathers of the bride, mothers of the bride and grooms.
