I'm Martin.
I am a great guitarist with a lot of experience training people. I teach basics and advanced techniques, as well as music theory. Let's rock!! \m/

Whether in person or online, our sessions will always begin with a warm up and an evaluation of goals.
What did we learn in the last session and have we imbibed it sufficiently to proceed to the next stage?

Measured student progress is always at the forefront of my training, and I will set the speed and intensity of any given lesson according to your performance at our last meeting.

In each lesson we will break down a technique or concept individually, so that it can be practiced and understood. We will bounce back and forth between the audience and the player so we can take the time to appreciate and absorb what we are learning.

In that same session, that very technique or concept will be re taught as part of a larger gestalt, emphasising it's placement within music practice or theory as a whole.

A song will be chosen that incorporates and utilises the lesson of the day, and it's practice will be encouraged, to build up a student's performance repertoire.

To explore a wider platform than just personal play, tuition on the practicalities and mindset of live performance can be given.
Training on practice methods with other musicians, the art of set building and stagecraft can take a shy 'bedroom guitarist' and transform them into a stage - ready rock star!

Session by session we will build up your ability, refinement, competence and confidence until you and your music shine. All you have to do is reach out and play.
