Martha Pledge

I have a great passion for teaching and learning about literature. After completing my degree in English literature, I hope to explore the route of secondary school teaching and/or children's publishing. Through my experience of helping out in GCSE lessons and being a study support champion I learnt that everyone's way of learning is different and everyone enjoys different things. Through a kind and caring manner, I aim to provide every individual with a personalised experience. Through tailored revision techniques and exercises, I aim to help students reach their full potential and learn at a pace that suits them. I also hope to relate texts and topics to the individual and find a way of making their learning and exams slightly more interesting and exciting. I offer the perfect balance of pushing students and also ensuring that they learn the basics and understand the content to a detailed and excellent extent.
