Hi! My name is Mariya. I’m a First Class Honours graduate in Spanish and German from University College London (UCL), with over four years of tutoring experience. I tutor Spanish for all ages and levels, from primary school through to A-levels.

I’m particularly passionate about languages and love helping students discover the joy of learning them. As a tutor, I’m approachable, patient and friendly. Whether it’s celebrating small victories or tackling challenges together, I aim to make learning inspiring and rewarding. Beyond teaching, I’m enthusiastic, dedicated and always looking for ways to bring energy and creativity into everything I do.

I’ve helped students improve their grades, build confidence and even achieve top marks in exams. I have a 100% pass rate, with the majority of my students moving up by 3–4 grades in just a few months. I tailor sessions to each student’s needs, breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps and providing practical techniques for exam success. I focus on building confidence, strengthening skills and keeping learning engaging, so progress is both measurable and enjoyable. I believe that with the right guidance and encouragement, every student can thrive in their language learning and reach their full potential.

My lessons are interactive, motivating and tailored to each student’s needs, whether the goal is improving grades, preparing for exams, boosting confidence, or simply enjoying a new language. I cover all aspects of language learning—reading, writing, listening, translation, and speaking—using vocabulary quizzes, grammar exercises, interactive activities, past papers, and authentic resources such as audios and texts. Having lived and worked in Spain, I bring real-world experience and cultural insights into my lessons, helping students improve their language skills while gaining a deeper understanding of Spanish culture.

All sessions include learning materials saved in an online document that students can access anytime. I’m also happy to support homework and school tasks, ensuring tutoring complements classroom learning.

With extensive experience guiding students through GCSE and A-Level Spanish, I’ve seen consistent academic progress. I encourage students to challenge themselves, develop strong study habits, and build confidence, helping them make measurable progress while enjoying the learning process. My goal is to foster a genuine love for the language and keep students motivated and inspired every step of the way.
