About me

I have been working in secondary schools for 20 years and also have experience of working in the primary sector. I started off teaching languages but switched to math’s along the way. I am much happier teaching math’s especially when I help a student to ‘get’ something. I find this very rewarding. I love seeing my students grow in confidence and get the grades they never thought they would.

I have been working in secondary schools for 20 years and also have experience of working in the primary sector. I started off teaching languages but switched to math’s along the way. I am much happier teaching math’s especially when I help a student to ‘get’ something. I find this very rewarding. I love seeing my students grow in confidence and get the grades they never thought they would.
I like to vary my lessons with student led activities, if they have a favourite website for example , I am open to suggestions. I like to look regularly at developing problem solving skills, which develops resilience. I will match my pace to the student and I have lots of patience to re-visit problems and topics. I am not very serious and think it’s important to have a bit of fun when learning!
