Marie Kawakami

Konnichiwa^^ I was born and raised in New Zealand and moved to Japan for University after graduating High School and have had just over 7 years of work experience in Tokyo, so I am familiar with the Japanese culture both as a student and as a business person.

I am fluent in both English and Japanese and also have experience teaching conversational English to Japanese students for over 5 years.

My lesson style is based on daily conversation and I am flexible accommodating to each student's needs and preferences. You are also welcome to ask as many questions as you like at your own pace. Whether you are completely new to the language or wanting to practice brushing up your Japanese skills, I will support and teach you in a fun and relaxed environment.

The thing I value most about my lesson is for my students to have fun speaking the language and building up their confidence. I am patient and empathetic so please don't be afraid to make any mistakes, as that is all part of the learning process^^
