I am a Mathematics and Physics student at University of Warwick with experience tutoring students across a wide range of ages, abilities and academic goals. My lessons are designed to be supportive, engaging and highly tailored to each individual student, whether they are looking to strengthen foundational maths skills, improve confidence, raise GCSE grades, achieve top A-level results, or prepare for university entrance and Olympiad-style problem solving. I tutor Maths, Further Maths and Physics at GCSE and A-level, and I am also able to support students preparing for competitions such as the British Maths Olympiad and British Physics Olympiad, having achieved awards in both myself.
My teaching style focuses strongly on building genuine understanding rather than memorisation. I break difficult concepts down into simple, manageable steps and guide students through problems carefully to help them develop confidence and logical thinking skills. Lessons are usually interactive, combining explanations, worked examples, guided questions and exam-style practice to ensure students actively engage with the material rather than passively listening. I adapt the pace and structure of lessons depending on the student’s needs and learning style, and I always encourage students to ask questions and think independently when solving problems.
For students preparing for exams, I place a strong emphasis on exam technique, common question patterns and efficient problem-solving strategies using targeted practice and past paper questions. For high-achieving students aiming for A/A* grades or competitive university applications, I can provide more challenging extension material and deeper mathematical reasoning. I also have experience teaching students from different educational backgrounds, including ESL learners and students who may initially struggle with confidence or core concepts, which has helped me develop a patient, adaptable and encouraging teaching approach. My goal is not only to help students improve academically, but also to help them become more confident, independent and motivated learners.
