I’m an experienced and passionate Chemistry teacher with over a decade of success helping students excel at GCSE, A-Level, and beyond. My lessons are designed to be engaging, structured, and fully tailored to each learner’s needs.
Before we begin, I take time to understand the student’s current level, learning style, and goals. This ensures every session is focused and purposeful - whether that’s boosting exam technique, building confidence with tricky topics, or stretching high achievers.
Lessons typically combine clear explanations, interactive examples, and guided practice questions. I make complex concepts accessible by breaking them into manageable steps, using real-world applications, and encouraging active participation.
For exam preparation, I integrate past paper questions and marking schemes so students become familiar with what examiners expect.
I use a supportive and encouraging approach, creating an environment where students feel confident to ask questions and take ownership of their learning. Progress is monitored regularly, and I adapt my teaching methods to ensure steady improvement.
Alongside Chemistry, I can provide targeted support in related sciences and study skills, including revision strategies, note-taking, and time management - skills that benefit learners far beyond the classroom.
My ultimate aim is not only to help students achieve excellent results, but also to inspire curiosity, resilience, and a love of learning and of Chemistry/Science. Many of my past students have gone on to excel in STEM subjects at university and in their chosen careers.
