From attending the University of Sussex and studying biology, I believe that I will be able to tutor and mentor students in an effective and friendly manner. I have a passion for the subject and enjoy helping others to wrap their head around the more confusing aspects of biology. My sessions would consist of a conversation-style one-to-one, where I will listen to your personal difficulties with certain parts of your syllabus and try my best to explain them whilst being supportive. When I was studying biology at A level, I had the opportunity to tutor GCSE level students which I found very rewarding as I was able to pass down intricate knowledge of both what and how to revise. As I was also in a similar position not too long ago, I understand how hard some ideas are to grasp and how you need to formulate your own individual way of figuring out and remembering the material, fortunately I am a good communicator and I can run through several different techniques with you until we find something that finally makes it click. I am always open to new ways of teaching so if there is a way that you prefer to learn I can facilitate that, similarly, if you are not a big talker and would prefer to tell me what you are stuck on and let me explain, then that is fine also.
