My lessons are 60 minutes long. Anything less is never sufficient. Anything more is too long! I am an inspiration teacher and tutor. i have a knack for getting the very best of my tutees by being accessible, and excellent communicator and teaching by example. I am patient and I have a good sense of humour; two qualities that are essential in my job.

During an initial, introductory session, I like to gauge where my pupils are in their learning and understanding. I like to do this through a piece of guided creative writing. From there, I can taylor make bespoke sessions that will meet my pupils needs. I provide useful feedback and achievable targets for realistic progression. I endeavour to make every lesson fun and educational.

I can tutor in person but have found that tutoring via Zoom can be equally effective. I provide all materials and worksheets and use the tools on Zoom to project and share resources. My written feedback is always timely and clear.

I have been a tutor for over 15 years and have taught: English Language & Literature, 11+ preparation, Common Entrance, 13+ Scholarship preparation and GCSE. I have also tutored Spanish up to GCSE in addition to Creative Writing to adults and children and history.
