My lessons are structured, clear, and focused on building understanding that lasts. I tailor each session to the student’s level, exam board, and goals, so every lesson feels purposeful and personalised.
Typical lesson structure, for a one hour lesson:
5 min — Quick check-in on what the student covered recently and any issues from homework or school.
20 min — Teaching the core concept using simple explanations, diagrams, and step-by-step reasoning.
25 min — Worked examples + guided practice, building confidence and accuracy.
10 min — Exam-style questions, marking them together and showing how to approach them efficiently.
Final 5 min — Recap + targeted homework to reinforce the lesson.
I adapt the pace depending on how the student learns — some need more visual explanations, others benefit from lots of examples, and some need help with exam technique and confidence.
What students can expect:
Clear explanations that make difficult topics understandable
A big focus on problem-solving, not memorising formulas
Exam-specific strategies tailored to AQA / Edexcel / OCR
Consistent, measurable progress
A supportive, structured learning environment
I’ve studied Maths and Physics at a high level and achieved 8 Grade 9s and 4 A*s ( Maths, Furthermaths, Physics, Spanish ), which gives me a strong grasp of what students need to succeed. I’ve worked with a range of learning styles and ability levels, from students aiming to secure a pass to those pushing for top grades.
My goal is simple: help students understand the subject properly and achieve the grades they’re capable of.
