explain it to your grandmother....
Let me introduce myself.
My name is Marco, I am 23 years old and I am in my third year at the Physics Department at the Bicocca University in Milan.
I think I am a simple person, for whom happiness lies in small things, but I am also very curious. It is precisely this curiosity of mine that led me both to my choice of university faculty and to travelling a lot.
In order to be able to afford to travel, and to have my own economic independence, as is often the case, I started to help young people with private lessons in physics, mathematics, English, Italian and other subjects. The gratification of my students' progress then motivated me to continue on the road to teaching.
During my high school years I participated in school holidays and work abroad: all experiences that significantly 'enriched' me, while at the same time reinforcing my conviction that travel and cultural/linguistic exchange are fundamental opportunities for growth and for the development of thinking that is always open to comparison and constructive criticism.
With the same awareness, I participated in the Erasmus mobility project where I took exams in English.
Now, for personal reasons, I am often in the USA where I take physics courses in English
In my various stays abroad, I have been pleased to note that many Americans feel a 'bond' with my country as heirs of generations who lived in Italy: learning Italian becomes almost an ideal/value for many young people, but not only! I think there is no nobler motivation to study our language...
On the strength of a well-established ability to communicate abroad without any problem and convinced that good communication skills 'in the language' are an added value, I therefore propose to offer my skills in my mother tongue (ITALIAN) to those who need and/or want them. From experience, I think that
learning from native speakers, with the correct pronunciation and sounds, is the most effective and natural way.
