My aim is to bring every student I teach to their highest potential- for this to happen I will treat each student differently to give them the most suited tutoring to their level and needs. Biology is a difficult subject but it can be understood with time and the appropriate method of learning it.

The first meeting will be to establish goals, areas of interest and which method of teaching would be the most appropriate for the individual. Due to the varying amounts of subjects in biology and different syllabuses the first lesson will be to establish what we are working with and what is needed. The first lesson will also give me a chance to understand where possible issues lie and to create a plan to smooth those wrinkles out.

At the end of each tutor meeting, I will quiz the student (stress free- it is ok to not know something immediately, especially on the spot) and then homework to ensure that what had been taught sticks. At the beginning of every tutor meeting I will ask questions that establish which knowledge has been retained and which hasn't and a certain part of the lesson will concentrate on catching up.

At appropriate intervals, general tests will also be done. I take into considerations at school tests and examinations, along side homework, which I will also help with.

I am passionate about Biology and it is a subject that I understand well and enjoy too. Bringing this same enjoyment and understanding will bring great satisfaction to me, giving me even more motivation to teach the subject well to others. I have no experience in teaching professionally but I will do everything to help others only gain knowledge from my lessons.
