Students will be given agreed upon lesson material in advance - either my own tailored lesson plans, or a suitable course book.
Lessons typically involve core grammar points, listening and speaking skills ie phonetics and lots of case examples and practice exercises.

I enjoy the challenge of utilising my full skill-sets as a teacher, artist and desktop publisher to deliver lessons as simply and memorably as possible.

From the outset, a friendly self-introduction helps to establish a connection with students. Not as the ‘hoary old dean’ or ‘cool, relatable hipster’, but simply as someone wanting to do a good job, to the best of their abilities - and wherever possible, a little fun. Which students recognise and appreciate - little or no teaching takes place whenever a student is unmotivated to learn because they feel either uninvolved or uninspired!

My teaching style is primarily a relaxed, student-led approach. With lessons crafted to be as interesting and interlinked as possible.
