Manuel Martello

Hi! I’m Manuel, a native Italian speaker from Milan and a UCL student with a strong background in languages, communication and tutoring.

I teach Italian, Spanish and general English for foreign learners, mainly to university students, GCSE students and adult learners who want to improve their confidence, fluency and accuracy.

I achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE Italian, losing only one mark, and also a Grade 9 in GCSE Spanish. At A-Level, I achieved an A in Italian and an A* in Spanish, so I understand how to prepare effectively for exams while also making the language feel natural and useful in real life. I also use English daily in academic, professional and social contexts, and can help foreign learners improve their everyday communication.

My lessons are personalised to each student’s level, goals and personality. Depending on what you need, we can focus on grammar, speaking practice, pronunciation, vocabulary, writing, exam technique or everyday conversation.

I like to keep lessons clear, structured and practical, while also creating a relaxed environment where students feel at ease speaking, making mistakes and building confidence. I believe language learning is also a cultural exchange, so I enjoy bringing Italian, Spanish and real-life international examples into my lessons. My goal is to help you improve step by step, communicate more naturally and actually enjoy learning the language.
