My lessons are flexible and student-led, because everyone learns differently, and I believe tutoring should adapt to you, not the other way around. If you have a particular learning style that works best, whether that's visual aids, discussion based learning, structured notes, or working through practice questions step by step, we'll build our sessions around that.
Typically, we'll start each lesson by identifying the topics, theories, or exam questions you find trickiest, and work through them together at a pace that suits you. Having studied A Level Sociology myself, I know exactly which areas tend to cause confusion, and I focus on breaking these down using clear explanations and real world examples that make abstract theories easier to remember and apply.
A big part of my approach is exam technique. It's not enough to just understand the content, you also need to know how to use it effectively under exam conditions. So we'll spend time on structuring strong answers, applying evidence and studies correctly, and avoiding the common mistakes that often cost students marks.
Beyond content, I want my lessons to be a space where you feel comfortable asking questions, however small they might seem, and where you build genuine confidence in your own understanding. Whether you're aiming to clear up a few gaps in your knowledge, revise for upcoming exams, or want consistent, ongoing support throughout the year, I'll tailor each session to help you make real progress and feel ready for whatever comes your way.
