Malayeka Akhtar

Hi! My name is Malayeka, and I’m a dedicated part-time tutor specialising in GCSE Chemistry.

I achieved a grade 8 in Chemistry at GCSE and am currently studying A-level Chemistry, Biology, and Maths at Cardinal Newman College. I’m passionate about science and helping students gain confidence in subjects they may find challenging or overwhelming at first.

Lessons typically include clear topic explanations, active recall techniques, interactive quizzes, and past paper practice, tailored to the student’s exam board and individual learning style.

I focus on building a solid understanding of core concepts while also teaching exam technique and how to structure answers to gain full marks.

I'm especially good at breaking down tricky topics like chemical bonding, rates of reaction, and organic chemistry into bite-sized, understandable steps.
