I have a Teaching Credential in Secondary Education in English. I have been teaching Creative Writing for 35+ years. My teaching style is a combination of lecture and practical exercises to reinforce your learnings. For example, when I teach about plot, I may show a short video, read examples of good plot lines and then ask students to utilize these learnings to craft their own plots.

Other techniques can include guided visualization to help students tap into the creativity and story prompts to stimulate their imaginations.
My Creative Writing programs are covered over 5 weeks and focus on: Plot, setting, dialogue and characterization. The 5th week is a presentation of their completed work which can either be a short story or chapter from a book that they are working on.

I have taught Creative Writing to both Secondary students and adults in the USA and abroad. I'm currently writing an ongoing fantasy novel which is published on My past experience as an Editor/Writer for various magazines in Bali and abroad, have greatly contributed to my development as a writer and teacher. I have a passion for the written word and love igniting that passion in my students to find their own voice and confidence as a writer. Additionally, I have created an e-course entitled: 'Intuitive Writing: 5 weeks to Ignite Your Creative Mojo & Keep it Going'

This is a wonderful self-guided course which is suitable for beginner to advanced writers who are needing a boost to their creativity.
