Mahta Kalhor

I am a Mathematics and Computer Science student at the University of Southampton with a strong academic background in GCSE and A-Level Maths, including Further Maths, Statistics and Trigonometry. I offer online maths lessons designed to support students at different levels and help them feel more confident in their abilities.

My lessons are structured, clear and tailored to each student’s needs. I begin by identifying areas of difficulty, then explain concepts step by step using examples and guided practice. I encourage questions throughout the lesson and make sure students fully understand the material before moving on. I also support students with exam preparation, homework, and improving problem-solving techniques.

I understand that maths can feel overwhelming for many students, especially around exams, so I aim to create a calm and supportive learning environment. Lessons are typically one hour long and are adapted depending on the student’s goals, pace and level.

I enjoy teaching because I find it rewarding to help students improve their understanding and gain confidence in maths. My approach is patient, clear and exam-focused, helping students build strong foundations and achieve better results over time.
