My lessons usually include a brief introduction into the topic, which helps me get an insight into what the student might need to focus on and where they stand on their understanding of that topic. Then i dive deeper into the concepts, giving examples, teaching student as we progress through the lesson. In the end, we try a quiz. First, i solve one question, then the student and i solve it together, then the student attempts it on their own. This helps solidify their understanding as well as get a grip on their exam style question practice as well. The dynamic of the lesson is always very interactive, with constant engagement from the student so that the lesson doesnt appear flat or passive. In my experience, it always helps when student explain the concepts to me on the end after we have covered all the areas. It helps me gauge how much have they covered and whether they understood me properly or not. I always keep notes on how the student prefers to be taught and what their strengths and weaknesses are in order to tailor my teaching to fit their needs. I prefer to go by a student centric approach while also not losing my edge or authority and providing direction where needed. Learning with me would be engaging and fun, as well as gurantee to cover areas of learning, work on weak areas, practice past papers, revise regularly each and every concept, and be told the techniques to strengthen exam preparation.
