I currently work as a tutor with Fleet Education Services, delivering personalised tuition to primary and secondary learners. I also have experience working in primary schools, supporting pupils with different abilities and learning needs. Alongside this, I hold a Level 5 TEFL qualification (220 hours) and a BSc (Hons) in Psychology.
I am patient, approachable and adaptable, and I understand that every student learns differently. I take the time to identify each learner's strengths and areas for improvement before tailoring lessons to their individual needs.
My teaching methods focus on making lessons engaging, interactive and easy to understand. I use clear explanations, practical examples, structured activities and regular practice to help students develop their English skills.
I also place importance on checking understanding during lessons. I use questions, short exercises and examples to identify gaps, then revisit difficult areas where needed. For English, this may involve practising comprehension, improving sentence structure, expanding vocabulary or developing clearer written responses. I provide constructive feedback and explain how students can improve, while recognising their effort and progress. Where appropriate, I can also help learners prepare for school assessments, homework and personal learning targets. I aim to do this in a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes with confidence.
I encourage students to ask questions, participate actively and learn at their own pace. My aim is not only to improve their academic ability but also to build their confidence and develop a positive attitude towards learning.
