Hello everyone! My name is Madina. I am a native Arabic speaker from Sudan and I now live in Glasgow, Scotland. I am a friendly, patient and kind teacher. I love teaching Arabic language to new learners.

I teach both Modern Standard Arabic (Fusha) and spoken Sudanese Arabic. My lessons are perfect for complete beginners who do not know any Arabic, and also for students who know a little and want to become better. I can help you learn how to read and write the Arabic alphabet, how to pronounce letters correctly, and how to make simple sentences for daily life.

In my class we will learn many useful things. We will learn how to greet people, how to introduce yourself, how to go shopping, how to talk with family and friends, and how to understand Arabic culture. If you are interested in Quran and Islamic studies, I can also help you with basic reading and understanding.

My teaching method is very simple and slow. I know learning a new language is difficult because I am also learning English now. So I will be very patient with you. I use pictures, games, repetition, and simple dialogue. I will speak mostly Arabic to help you listen, but I can also use translation tools to help us understand each other. My lessons are always relaxed and you will feel comfortable to make mistakes.

I offer online lessons by Zoom or video call, and I also offer face to face lessons in Glasgow for women and children. My timetable is flexible and I can teach in the morning, afternoon or evening. The first lesson is a chance for us to meet and plan your goals.
