In my Biology lessons, I focus on building a strong understanding of core concepts while developing confidence and exam technique. Each session is tailored to the student’s current level and learning style, ensuring that lessons are clear, structured, and engaging. I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through challenging topics.
I teach both Primary School and Secondary/GCSE students in line with the UK National Curriculum. For primary students, I focus on strengthening foundational scientific knowledge, including life processes, plants, animals, the human body, and basic scientific enquiry skills. Lessons at this level are interactive and designed to build curiosity, confidence, and a positive attitude towards science.
For GCSE students, I cover the full Biology curriculum and work with all major UK exam boards, including AQA, OCR, and Edexcel. Topics include cell biology, organisation, infection and response, bioenergetics, homeostasis, inheritance, variation, and ecology. I ensure that lessons are aligned with the student’s specific specification.
A strong emphasis is placed on exam preparation. We regularly practise exam-style questions, review mark schemes, and focus on structuring answers to maximise marks. My aim is not only to improve grades but to help students develop independent study skills and long-term academic confidence.
As a Biomedical Science graduate, I bring strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for Biology. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit individual needs, whether that means breaking topics down step by step or challenging students aiming for higher grades. My goal is to create lessons that are productive, motivating, and results-focused, helping students feel confident not only in exams but in their overall understanding of science.
