Lydie Tremayne Tremayne

I am a French native speaker and I qualified as a teacher of foreign languages from the Institute of Education in London, in 2000. I have been teaching French, Spanish and German to secondary schools in the UK, in Africa and in Asia for the last 25 years. The last ten years have been in London and the south coast. I have also tutored pupils online to help them achieve high grades in their French GCSE and A level, and I have taught English as a volunteer to Ukrainian children in 2022.
My lessons are always tailored to my pupils' needs and aims. I set the learning objectives to start with, deliver a range of activities, provide resources and at the end of the lesson, I email a recap of what has been learnt. Depending on the level and the requirements there may be some learning, reading or writing homework but it is of course an option. Over my 25 years of professional experience I have cared for young individuals with a wide array of backgrounds and abilities, showing sensitivity to cultural and linguistic backgrounds as well as to neurodiversity.
In June 2025 I completed the initial and the advanced coaching courses of Graydin Coaching for educators (2025), which has equipped me with powerful listening skills and has enhanced my ability to support students effectively.
I am an excellent communicator and will always respond to your request and specific needs to the best of my ability.
