I am a BSc Biological Sciences student at the University of Edinburgh with a strong academic background and previous tutoring experience across a wide range of ages and levels. I completed the IB Diploma, which allows me to support students not only with biological knowledge, but also with revision strategies and effective study habits.
My teaching style is highly visual and structured. I work best using clear diagrams, simplified notes, and step-by-step explanations to break down complex biological concepts into ideas that are easy to understand and remember. I focus on identifying key concepts, linking topics together, and helping students see the “big picture” in Biology rather than memorising isolated facts.
I strongly believe that every student learns differently. I adapt each lesson to the student’s level, learning style, and goals. Some students benefit from detailed explanations and guided notes, while others prefer practice questions, discussion, or exam-focused revision. I take time to understand what works best for each student and adjust my approach accordingly.
Lessons are always well-planned and personalised, with clear objectives for each session. I regularly check understanding, encourage questions, and revisit topics as needed to build confidence. My aim is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable, motivated, and capable of improving.
Whether the goal is exam preparation, reinforcing school content, or building a strong foundation in Biology, I am committed to helping students progress efficiently and confidently.
