I am an experienced and supportive Maths tutor offering personalised one-to-one lessons for KS3 and GCSE students, particularly those in Years 7–11. My aim is to help students develop a secure understanding of Mathematics, improve their problem-solving skills and become more confident when tackling exam-style questions.

Every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to each student’s current level, individual needs and academic goals. At the beginning, I identify areas of strength as well as gaps or misconceptions through discussion, diagnostic questions and exam-style tasks. I then use this information to plan focused lessons and monitor progress over time.

For KS3 students, I concentrate on strengthening core mathematical knowledge and developing the reasoning and problem-solving skills needed for future GCSE study. For GCSE students, lessons can include targeted topic revision, GCSE-style questions, past-paper practice and examination techniques. I help students understand not only how to solve a problem, but also how to recognise what a question is asking, choose an appropriate method and present their working clearly to gain marks.

My lessons are structured but interactive. I explain concepts step by step, model worked examples and then give students opportunities to practise independently with guidance and feedback. When a student makes a mistake, I use it to identify the underlying misunderstanding rather than simply giving the correct answer.

I believe that confidence grows from genuine understanding and regular practice. Whether a student wants to strengthen weak topics, improve their school performance or work towards a higher GCSE grade, I will adapt the lessons to help them make steady and meaningful progress.
