I have a relaxed approach to sessions with low pressure emphasised always. I am encouraging and have a broad area of experience in materials, styles, and media. Ice-breaker starts are important, as are warming up for the session ahead. Once this is behind us, we begin by discussing your preferred topic of study and establishing priorities to figure out what a good structure would be for you to learn in.
Sharing some examples of my portfolio can help to steer the conversation toward learning something in the same thread. Often it can help to explore other artists whose work you admire or hope to emulate. I have always made inclusion, acceptance, and accessibility a big priority for my approach to every creative project. I also have access to and knowledge of a broad range of software and traditional tools, so more specialised tuition is also something we can explore.
My experience in art began in my formative years and became a long term passion for my entire life. I self taught to the standard of photorealistic illustration, but wanted to challenge myself to expand the envelope of my comfort zone. I went back to college to do Art Access and then completed my degree in Graphic Design, learning the same modules as the illustration course. In those years I won four awards for exceptional art standards and outstanding contribution to helping out my fellow students and the institution itself. I continue to work as a freelancer, creating art of all kinds for all audiences.
