Maths teachers are interesting. I feel like we all know the typical old, curmudgeonly teacher that very much teaches by the books, making maths an absolutely horrific experience for everyone involved. Being a 22 year old with a passion for inspiring a love for maths, I feel that I am in a position to make maths an enjoyable experience. I would want both of us to work hard at this, to really make sure it's as satisfying as possible. I'm only here to guide towards the answer, not give it away completely! I won't be there in the exam so ultimately, I'm here to make you feel as comfortable as possible doing anything maths related alone! Basically, I want to help you enough that you do not need me as quickly as possible! :)
I'd set up powerpoints, explaining what the basis of a topic is. I would include independent work questions to allow for an opportunity for you to really show what you have learnt. I would work through any topics with you, inspiring confidence. I would also treat you like a human being. It's no fun when a teacher treats you as something other than human, whatever age you are.
That's what I'm here for, I'm here to help you. To get you through the exams and to hopefully allow you to genuinely end up with a passion for maths, a subject that will help you through so many walks of life, and so many of your other subjects too.
So, are you ready?
