About me

Soy profesor de Español como Lengua Extranjera (ELE) y llevo más de 10 años acompañando a estudiantes de todo el mundo en su aprendizaje del español.

Nací en Madrid, pero he tenido la oportunidad de vivir y viajar por distintas regiones de España y por varios países, tanto anglófonos como mediterráneos. Esa experiencia me ha permitido comprender mejor las diferentes formas de aprender un idioma y adaptar mis clases a personas con perfiles, culturas y objetivos muy diversos.

A lo largo de estos años he trabajado con cientos de alumnos, desde principiantes hasta estudiantes de nivel avanzado, así como con profesionales, directivos, expatriados y empresas internacionales que necesitaban utilizar el español en situaciones reales de trabajo y de la vida cotidiana.

Me gusta crear un ambiente de aprendizaje cercano y exigente al mismo tiempo. Creo que se aprende mejor cuando el alumno participa, habla, pregunta y se siente cómodo para cometer errores y seguir avanzando.

Mis clases combinan conversación, gramática, pronunciación y vocabulario de una forma práctica y equilibrada, utilizando materiales propios y actividades adaptadas a cada estudiante. Además del idioma, me gusta acercar a mis alumnos a la cultura, la historia y las costumbres de España, porque comprender un idioma también significa comprender el contexto en el que se utiliza.

Imparto clases online, en empresas y a domicilio, tanto individuales como para grupos reducidos.

Además del español, hablo inglés y puedo utilizarlo cuando es necesario, especialmente con alumnos de niveles iniciales. También tengo conocimientos de francés.

Luis is a fantastic Spanish teacher. He prepares each class thoroughly and adapts to the individual needs and levels of his students. His classes are really interesting, he has a lot of general knowledge and reads a ton so there is always something to talk about! Luis does a great job in educating about the Spanish culture (not to forget the countless food and travel recommendations which I tried and loved). Luis is great! He is very flexible working with my schedule and has helped me significantly improve my Spanish. The first half of a lesson is generally conversation, while the second half consists of whatever specific area I need to work on. I have had classes with Luis for a year and a half. Firstly, he's a lovely guy! Every class we have good chats, where he not only gives me useful vocab, but also insight into Spanish culture, colloquial phrases and slang. We have covered a huge amount of grammar, which has improved my Spanish hugely and he even helped me get a B1 in an exam I needed for my job. I can now confidently have a conversation with any Spanaird.

Luis has been a great teacher! For the past year, the lessons have been virtual, and we have been having a group speaking lesson about every two weeks. He has been extremely patient with the online platform (the platform itself is terrible), and he always makes the effort to talk one-on-one with each student during the lesson. Each time, he usually prepares some speaking exercises adjusted to the level of the students.

Luis es un profesor muy agradable y enseña espanol muy bien. yo ha comenzado mi cursos de espanol con luis sin ningún conocimiento y estoy ahora en una nivel cuando no quiero mas google translate en seis meses! yo ha hecho A1 y A2 con Luis, y en este cursos el usó bien el tiempo para explicar la gramatica y los vobularios. Tambien el habla muy bien ingles para traducir si necessita. Lo recomiendo mucho !

I thoroughly enjoy my lessons with Luis. He is a patient and supportive teacher that focuses on communications skills which is probably the most important aspect of language learning. Conversational topics are always current, well thought-out and engaging. There is a genuine flow to the lesson which makes the language acquisition extremely natural. Classes are supplemented with grammatical points and exercises that are fun and not at all tedious (for grammar!). Fantastic teacher, highly recommended.

We all like his class, and the number of the students increases from about 6 to 13 since his coming. it is a good way to learn English and Spanish at the same time.
