My lessons are designed to be engaging, adaptable, and completely centred on the student’s goals. Every learner is different, and I strongly believe in shaping lessons around what you personally want to achieve—whether that’s preparing for a public or private exam, improving your speaking fluency, strengthening your reading and comprehension, or simply enjoying a more relaxed and conversational approach to learning Italian.

I have a range of teaching experience that has helped me build a flexible style. During my volunteering work in schools, I taught English to reception children, where I learned how important patience, creativity, and encouragement are in making lessons fun and effective. A few years ago, I also spent four months in Kenya teaching both English and Italian to children. That was an incredibly enriching experience, as it gave me the opportunity to adapt my teaching methods to suit students from a very different cultural and educational background. These experiences have given me confidence in working with learners of all ages and abilities.

In our classes, you can expect a balance of structure and creativity. If you are aiming for academic success, I can prepare targeted lessons focusing on exam skills and strategies, ensuring you feel confident and well-prepared. If your goal is to improve conversational Italian, lessons can include roleplays, dialogues, and discussion exercises to help you gain fluency in real-life situations. I am also happy to include additional skills such as listening practice, writing exercises, and vocabulary-building, depending on your needs.

For students who enjoy a broader experience, I can weave cultural elements into lessons—exploring Italian music, cinema, food, and history to give you a deeper understanding of the language and the culture behind it. I believe that language learning should not only be about grammar and vocabulary, but also about connecting with the culture in a meaningful way.

When we begin working together, I will prepare a personalised teaching schedule based on your goals and preferences. Each lesson will be carefully planned in advance, with resources and activities tailored to your progress. My aim is to create lessons that are not only productive, but also enjoyable and motivating, so that you feel confident in your learning journey and look forward to each session.
