I provide specialised, one-on-one tutoring in Leicester and Derby (depending on frequency of sessions/location) and online sessions using interactive content to engage and challenge students to reach their academic goals. Content taught online can also be accessed before the session if the student desires and all original materials can be downloaded/uploaded by students for accessibility and evaluation. As a current undergraduate student aiming towards a career in education, I value this opportunity to gain experience and am available to students and parents to voice any queries 7 days a week.

Although the lesson plan will vary based on what you want to learn, each session will feature areas of study that you as the student want to develop and finding the best way for you to understand further content based on how you learn best (environment, task and assessment style etc.)

During lessons my time is completely dedicated to my students, providing guidance with the material and advice on different techniques in addition to building up their core knowledge of English (or Maths) in a progress form designed to create focussed and attainable goals.

The format of each lesson will vary depending on the amount and age of the student(s). Typically, I begin my classes with a relevant activity that can be completed and self-assessed to encourage reflection and understand target learning areas. After this exercise, we’ll discuss any class work or homework the student may have, ensuring they are able to manage their workload and assisting where appropriate. Then, we’ll apply what the student has learnt from the initial exercises to a task revolving around their current curriculum with real-world application to enhance understanding.
