About My Experience & Teaching Style-

I hold a BA in Fine Art (graduated university in 2023), a Distinction in College Art & Design, and a Grade 9 at GCSE. Working daily as a school Art Technician, I support students directly through the practical, technical, and academic challenges of portfolio building.
My teaching approach focuses on action over perfectionism. High grades at GCSE, A-Level, and College are built on high-volume experimentation, strong technical foundations, and clear critical reflection. Having produced 4–5 full sketchbooks during my own college studies, I show students how to overcome "page-fright" and build rich, dynamic portfolios fast.

My sessions are highly collaborative, structured around your specific goals, exam board criteria, or personal projects:
Practical Painting & Technique: Mastering brushwork, acrylics, oils, color mixing, tonal value, and material experimentation.

Sketchbook Volume & Pacing: Setting timed, fast-paced studies and exercises to generate content quickly without getting stuck on a single piece.

Critical Theory & Annotations: Elevating your written work past surface-level observations. I teach you how to analyze subtext, gender dynamics, and socio-political context in art history to write top-tier annotations and essays.

Portfolio & Exam Prep: Mapping your work directly to assessment objectives to ensure every page shows clear development from concept to final outcome.
