I aim to keep the learning engaging and conversational with a comfortable, professional environment. Whilst maximising the time spent teaching I want to get the most out of sessions and students without any added pressure. I think that learning should be fun and enjoyable in order to self motivate and drive students to achieve the grades they're aiming for. I am excited to build rapport with students, building confidence and learning ability. With an exam focus I want students to maximise the exam board structure to suit their own learning, with outstanding results. I have developed communication skills through committee roles at university, hosting large scale events and encouraging student participation. I believe that a welcoming environment is always conducive to bringing out the best in people and this will apply to the delivery of my lessons. A student-led focus is something that I think can be very beneficial, providing the student with foresight, motivation and a sense of control and capability over their own studies, whilst being facilitated and driven by the lessons. Furthermore, I understand that each student is unique and therefore requires a unique approach to their studies. Finding and creating a leaning plan with the student to suit their lifestyle, taking into consideration their strengths and weaknesses is something that I believe is key to success. My knowledge of online resources and modern learning techniques is what makes me an ideal candidate to tutor science along with my in depth knowledge and ability to adapt to new circumstances. I am eager to meet and work with new students and I hope they will be too.
