I am a 19-year-old university student currently studying Pharmacology, with a strong passion for maths and teaching. Over the years, I have spent many, many nights helping my younger brother with his maths homework and exam preparation — and if that is not a real test of patience, I do not know what is! That experience taught me how important it is to explain things calmly, clearly, and in different ways until they finally click.
My classes are designed around each student’s individual learning style and goals. Whether you learn best through examples, repetition, step-by-step explanations, or practice questions, I will adapt the lessons to suit you. From my own experience, I truly believe the best way to improve at maths is through practice. During lessons, we will identify the areas you struggle with most and work through targeted questions together, breaking concepts down to a foundational level when needed.
I believe maths is a lot like building a house — if there are gaps in the foundation, everything built on top becomes much harder. Often students are not struggling because they “cannot do maths,” but because they missed or never fully understood earlier concepts. My goal is to find and fix those gaps while building confidence along the way.
I also understand that maths can feel intimidating, and many students feel embarrassed when they do not understand something straight away. My lessons are relaxed, supportive, and judgement-free. I am the type of tutor who would happily spend an entire lesson working through one question if that is what helps a student truly understand it.
Above all, my main goal is to help you achieve what you need — whether that means reaching a specific grade, passing an important exam, or simply developing a stronger understanding and appreciation of maths. Whatever your goal is, I am with you every step of the way.
