I'm 120 hour TEFL certified and I have previously worked teaching children and teenagers English in Indonesia, where I taught large beginner classes and small intermediate groups in a rural school.

I have also worked in a British junior school in a teaching assistant role, focusing on supporting children with additional educational needs.

More recently, I have spent several years teaching and tutoring home educated primary aged children in a variety of subjects, including languages.

I have a bachelor's degree in Biology and have an interest in science and the environment so can offer specific expertise in the use of the English language in Scientific settings.

While a large amount of my experience is in teaching children, I am now teaching adults too.

In the first lesson I will do a needs assessment so I know what your aims, strengths and weaknesses and what areas you want to work on. I like to make lessons enjoying and engaging with games and real life scenarios. I am happy to also happy to base lessons around your interests to area of work to make them as relevant to you as possible.

I will usually use a Before, During, After format for the lessons where I will send a text, some vocabulary or something similar out to you before the lesson takes place for you have a look at. Then in the lesson this will from part of the discussion in the lesson. I will set a small activity to complete for homework (although there's no need to worry if can't always complete it - I understand that life is busy!).
