I am a recent Biological Sciences graduate and current postgraduate research in Microbiology and Infectious Disease at the University of Exeter. With a strong academic background and recent experiences of higher education, I understand the challenges that GCSE and A-level students face when preparing for exams. Having been through the process myself not long ago, I can relate closely to their experiences, while offering the knowledge and perspective of someone who have progressed into advanced study.
My degree and research training have given me expertise across a wide range of biology including physiology, microbiology, immunology, genetics and environmental science. This enables me to support student across the GCSE and A-level curriculum. I am able to break down complex material into clear, structured and engaging lesson that help with both understanding and confidence.
Alongside my studies, I have gained experience in teaching and science communication. I have delivered interactive workshops and school outreach sessions, including practical demonstrations of university level techniques and I have contributed to international health projects that required adapting complex science for different audiences. These opportunities have strengthened my ability to teach in a way that is engaging, accessible and tailored to the learner.
As a tutor, I am patient, approachable and committed to supporting students in achieving their academic goals. Whether working one-to-one with GCSE and A-level learners or collaborating with companies, I am to inspire the same curiosity in biology that has lead me through my academic journey and built the tools needed for exam success.
