Lucía Cerván Martín

Hi! I’m Lucía, a native Spanish teacher from Spain with several years of teaching experience in the UK.

I offer Spanish lessons for children, teenagers and adults, adapting each lesson to the student’s level, interests and individual goals.

My lessons are practical and engaging. We can work on conversation, pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar through a variety of activities and topics planned to be relevant and interesting to you.

Having taught in the UK for several years, I understand the challenges English speakers can face when learning Spanish. As an experienced teacher, I’m also used to working with students of different ages, abilities, learning styles and learning needs.

I can help with:

• Conversational Spanish and fluency
• Pronunciation and speaking confidence
• Grammar and vocabulary
• School and exam support
• Spanish for travel
• Spanish for children and teenagers
• Everyday Spanish and communication

A little about me: I’m passionate about theatre, music, travel and languages, and I love meeting people from different cultures. I’m naturally very sociable and enjoy creating a relaxed, positive environment where people feel comfortable being themselves. I also love sharing Spanish culture, from everyday expressions to traditions or food. I’m originally from the south of Spain, the beautiful Andalucía, and I would love to introduce you to Andalusian culture, traditions, food, music and, of course, our way of life!

As a tutor, my aim is to make learning Spanish enjoyable, useful and personalised, while helping you build the confidence to actually use the language. And if we can have a good time while learning... ¡mejor que mejor!
