I like to take a dialectical approach with students, getting them to understand concepts through back and forth communication, with a personable and friendly style.

I strongly believe that the best way to teach philosophy, is by actively ‘philosophising’ , and therefore my teaching style is not unilateral but dynamic and cooperative.

I have experience working in secondary schools as a teaching assistance and I take pride in my ability to engage with all sorts of kids with all sorts of abilities and learning styles.

My approach revolves around getting the student to understand ideas through their own reasoning, by me asking the right questions, allowing them to reach complex conclusion themselves.

I am very flexible with my lessons, allowing the student’s particular needs to dictate the direction of the lesson. Whether it be essay writing focus, content breakdown or exam tips, I am happy to match the content and format of my lessons to whatever the students needs might be.

After graduating from the London School of Economics, and completing a Masters degree from UCL, I understand what universities look for in applications and as such can help with personal statements and UCAS application.

I am confident that I can get my students not just to improve their grades or learn content, but to genuinely cultivate a passion for philosophical ideas and the marvellous ways thinking philosophically helps develop skills elsewhere in their life.
