I tutor GCSE Science. My aim is to support students win catching up, building confidence and preparing for exams. Lessons will be tailored to each students needs. Two main pathways; systematic ie working through the full syllabus step by step or focused so tackling key topics the students may be struggling with. The lesson structure will be a review of the previous homework tasks, core learning of new topics, interactive practice so discussing problems and a wrap up to check confidence. Learning methods will include practicing questions and past papers discussions to deepen their understanding as well as visual aids and extra tasks for independent learning. Furthermore I will focus mainly on building confidence offering a safe and supportive space for students to ask questions focusing on progress not perfection so students can feel exam ready. I will also include exam preparation, time management strategies for exams and reviewing examiner expectations and common pitfalls.
