I have a first class honor degree in music performance and recording and have been working as a professional musician for the past 5 years onboard cruise ships within my own acoustic duo. Besides performing, I also have knowledge in teaching both in large classes and on a 1 to 1 basis, I am able to share my experiences from being taught for many years and now from working in the industry, I can also share my passion for music. I am able to teach music theory and piano/keyboard lessons individually or together, helping students through areas which they find more problematic, preparing them for upcoming exams or teaching them from scratch. With piano/keyboards lessons I can teach for fun or guide student through grades, having experience of going through piano exams myself I have good personal experiences to share and good valuable knowledge to guide students from grade 1 to 8 exams. From personal experience I know how important it is to have a teacher who is motivated, passionate and can provide fun, skillful lessons for everyone to enjoy, therefore I arrange all my lesson plans to make sure that every lesson is progressive, worthwhile, high energy, interesting and full of fun and knowledge. For students who are interested in taking music further, I can provide information of how to progress, opportunities available, contacts and places to study, I also know the best exam boards from personal experience to take and I know the syllabus really well so I can give students the best possible start.
