The foundation of my teaching is based on the real-world use of the lessons. Let’s be real - nobody wants piano/music lessons, we all want what piano lessons makes us do after!

This has been the bread and butter of my teaching and learning throughout the years. I studied classical performance in Trinity Laban, London, and since then I am a constant performer, becoming a solo and collaborative pianist across the UK, Italy and Spain. I constantly participate in masterclasses and competitions in Italy and the UK as an accompanist. I have a keen interest in opera and song repertoire, but I play lots of different things too.

In my time as a solo pianist I played the most demanding repertoire for piano of the different composers like Beethoven, Chopin, Rachmaninov, Scriabin, Debussy, Ravel, and many others! I also play all sorts of popular styles in bands and ensembles: jazz, pop, Latin music (especially keen on this one). Check out my YouTube channel for videos! Just type in my name.

Now, as a teacher I always aim to incorporate one question that guides the development of them: why do you want to learn piano/music theory? What is the main purpose? That can have many ways of being answered: I want to learn jazz standards; I want to learn minimalist music; I want to improve my left hand; I want to pass the Grade 5 ABRSM theory test; I want to improve my sight-reading; I want to prepare for my A-Leve Music; or simply, I want to learn from scratch and open to learn any repertoire. For any of those needs and any other not mentioned, I am here for you.

Even though I am classical pianist in my roots, I have learned (and love to play) all sorts of genres and with all sorts of musicians. That is the foundation of my teaching: to be available to the every need of my students.

I'm thoroughly enjoying learning piano as an adult with Arnaldo. He's patient, enthusiastic and encouraging with a laid back focused and attentive teaching style. He is quick to pick up on poor technique and habits, demonstrating clearly and confidently best practice. A fabulous pianist and teacher, I look forward to my lessons and would highly recommend him to anyone who is serious about improving their playing.
