Louise Binks

I am a qualified primary school teacher with 10 years of experience teaching in a primary school, having taught all year groups across Key Stage 2, with extensive experience in upper KS2, particularly Years 5 and 6. Over the years, I have supported numerous children in preparing for SATs, achieving a strong track record of success.

I have experience delivering both 1:1 tutoring and group sessions, providing engaging, tailored lessons designed to meet the individual needs of each learner. My expertise covers all areas of the curriculum, with a focus on supporting children towards Year 6 SATs in Maths (arithmetic and reasoning), English, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and reading, while ensuring that learning remains enjoyable. I am also available to provide support in all other KS2 subjects, as I believe it is important for children to enjoy the process of learning and to feel confident across the curriculum.

In addition to classroom teaching, I am an experienced piano and harp teacher, offering lessons for beginners and more advanced students. Lessons are tailored to each student’s ability and goals, focusing on technique, musicality, performance, and a love of music. I have taught music both in primary schools and privately, and I aim to make lessons enjoyable, motivating, and creative.

I am highly flexible in my teaching methods, adapting lessons to suit each child’s preferred learning style and pace. I also work closely with parents, communicating regularly and taking advice from the school to ensure we are targeting the areas where their child most needs support. My goal is to build confidence, maintain a love of learning, and help students thrive academically and musically.
