My passion for teaching began during my 24-year career in the Fire Service, where I trained and mentored new recruits. It was incredibly rewarding to help others grow in confidence and reach their potential. After leaving the Fire Service, I started teaching a small group of children in Italy and absolutely loved the experience. That inspired me to complete a TEFL course and open up to new opportunities in education.

I’m TEFL certified and have over two years of experience teaching 11–12-year-old students and now almost a year teaching on Preply. I believe learning should be interactive, engaging, and fun. I tailor my lessons to suit different learning styles and work hard to build a safe, supportive environment where students feel confident to speak and express themselves.

In my spare time, I enjoy cooking (and even more so, eating!), trying new foods, going for walks, reading, and doing fitboxe—a great alternative to the kickboxing classes I used to enjoy before my shift work schedule got in the way.
