Helping students understand, enjoy and feel confident in Maths and Science.
I know first-hand how much of a difference a patient and encouraging teacher can make. I was lucky to have teachers who gave me their time, support and patience, and they helped me develop not only academically, but also a genuine love of learning. I now want to give that same experience to other students.

I understand the struggles and pressures of school and my aim is to relieve the stress of this by giving a student the tools to overcome the challenges they face academically.
I specialise in Maths and Science tutoring for ages 8-16. I am a Natural Sciences student at the University of Leeds studying Maths, Physics and Biochemistry. Alongside my own academic success, I have hands-on experience working as a teaching assistant and learning support assistant in a secondary school, supporting students who found aspects of school challenging or needed additional support.
Every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to their individual needs, ability and goals. I break topics down into step-by-step explanations so that students can build their understanding without feeling overwhelmed. I use visual explanations and worked examples to make even challenging topics feel manageable.
We then put this understanding into practice through engaging questions and problem-solving activities. This helps students develop their critical thinking and logical reasoning while giving them the opportunity to identify and work through areas they find difficult.
My lessons are designed to be supportive, patient and positive. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and taking their time to understand something without feeling pressured.
Through my experience supporting students with ADHD, anxiety, dyslexia and dyscalculia I understand that my teaching style needs to be adaptable to help each student feel understood, supported and capable. My aim is not just to improve grades, but to help students become more confident, independent and positive about their own ability.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes, although this can be adjusted depending on the student's age, needs and what they would like to cover.
Ultimately, I want every student to leave a lesson feeling that they have made progress, understood something they previously found difficult, and are more confident in their ability to succeed.
