Louis Dong

Hello! My name is Louis, and I am currently studying for an MSc in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Southampton. I have a strong background in Mathematics and achieved excellent results in Advanced Mathematics. Before coming to the UK, I worked as a Mathematics tutor at a professional education institution in China, teaching students aged 12–17, including OSSD and HKDSE Mathematics.

I believe that every student learns differently, so I always adapt my lessons to each individual’s needs and learning style. Rather than simply teaching students how to memorise formulas, I focus on helping them understand the logic behind mathematical concepts, develop problem-solving skills, and build confidence.

My lessons are structured, interactive, and tailored to your goals, whether you need help with homework, exam preparation, improving grades, or strengthening your mathematical foundations. I explain difficult concepts step by step, provide plenty of practice questions, and encourage students to ask questions throughout the lesson.

As an Artificial Intelligence student, I enjoy logical thinking and finding efficient ways to solve problems, and I bring this mindset into my teaching. I am patient, approachable, and committed to creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress.
Lessons are available both online and in person in Southampton. I look forward to helping you achieve your academic goals!
