My lessons are structured, engaging, and tailored to each student’s individual learning needs. I focus on building a calm and productive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through challenges at their own pace. Every session is designed to help students build confidence and make consistent progress, especially in subjects they may find difficult.
I first began teaching during my own time in school, supporting primary students in both classroom and after-school settings. I particularly enjoyed working one-to-one with students who showed real persistence and curiosity. To help conclude each session effectively, I introduced “exit tickets”—short tasks or questions designed to summarise and reinforce the key concepts we had covered. This approach proved especially helpful in subjects like maths and literacy, allowing students to leave each lesson with clarity and confidence.
Now, while studying for my A-levels in Maths, Chemistry, and Design & Technology, I tutor younger secondary school students at the same school. These sessions are mostly one-to-one and focus on deepening understanding, reviewing class content, and preparing for assessments. I’ve continued using the exit ticket method to round off each session with a quick check of understanding, helping students retain what they’ve learned and track their own progress.
I aim to make every lesson as clear, focused, and useful as possible. Whether we're tackling challenging topics or reviewing the basics, I make sure students feel supported, motivated, and confident in their learning journey. I encourage students to be organised independently, making/improving themselves to work by themselves without the need of help. Furthermore encouraging their independent learning and education.
