About me

I'm able to teach any students at secondary level for both GCSEs and A level exams. I achieved 3 A*'s in History, Politics and English Literature in 2022 with full marks on all my coursework. I am currently awaiting my Oxford BA results; I expect to achieve a first class outcome.

I have experience tutoring both in person and online. As a recent graduate I am highly flexible with my time. I also have my own car so can travel to lessons.

I take a flexible approach, incorporating methods that I have tried and tested personally and tailor them to the specific student's learning style. In particular, I emphasise an approach to exams that involves active engagement with content, rather than rote learning, as this ultimately provides better outcomes. I encourage students to think critically about content they learn in class and use their own conclusions to more flexibly argue their opinion in a way that class based learning simply doesn't offer enough time to do.

I am starting a graduate tutoring role at a selective boarding school in September 2025 and have proven teaching ability from prior freelance tutoring work.

FOR OXBRIDGE APPLICANTS

I have been involved in outreach work during my time at Oxford and can explain what tutors look for in the admissions process. I am able to coach students through humanities based admissions tests, personal statements, interview prep and written work. Although I studied History, I am able to provide more general advice on admissions for all subjects.
