• Listening to songs
• Recommending movies and watching them with subtitles in Spanish
• Reading books
• Speaking to them in Spanish after they have a basic understanding of the language
• Teaching them the pronunciation of each word
• Using cards, crafts, puzzles and even games to help them understand what we have learned in the lesson

Obviously all this depends on the level of each student! But this is what I normally do for young students because I believe that interacting with them is a funny way to learn things and it has worked with me and my past students.
In the first lesson I like to know what knowledge they have of the language, that’s why I like to make a small assessment for me to know what routine and strategy is going to work the best for both of us!
