My Psychology Lessons
My lessons are designed to be interactive, structured, and tailored to the needs of each student. I use a blended format that combines short lectures, guided discussions, and practical exercises. This ensures that students not only understand psychological theories but also learn how to apply them in real-life contexts. For example, when teaching about cognitive development, I might begin with a clear explanation of Piaget’s stages, then guide students through case scenarios, and finally encourage them to reflect on how these concepts appear in everyday life.
Moreover, content is organised around core areas of psychology—developmental, cognitive, social, and clinical—while also integrating applied topics such as counselling techniques, psychological testing, and research methods. I emphasise critical thinking by using Socratic questioning, encouraging students to challenge assumptions and explore multiple perspectives. Lessons are dynamic, often involving role-plays, problem-solving tasks, and analysis of case studies to make abstract concepts more concrete.
My experience includes working as a psychologist in training, supporting adolescents and parents of children with psychological challenges, and pursuing a Master’s in Clinical Psychology. I also have professional experience as a social media manager and executive assistant, which has strengthened my communication and organisational skills—qualities I bring into teaching.
Students can expect a supportive environment where questions are welcomed, mistakes are treated as learning opportunities, and progress is celebrated. My goal is to help learners not only succeed academically but also develop a genuine appreciation for psychology as a discipline that shapes how we understand ourselves and others.
